This Workplace Policy is here to make sure we keep that balance — giving everyone the clarity, freedom, and respect they need to do meaningful work. Whether you’re joining us for one project or many, consider this your guide to how we collaborate, communicate, and grow together at Sparquo.
1. Our Philosophy
Sparquo was founded on a simple idea: design and strategy should grow together. We’re not just a studio — we’re a collective of thinkers, doers, and creatives who believe in purposeful design and human connection.
We aim to make every collaboration fair, transparent, and fulfilling for everyone involved — clients, partners, and freelancers alike
2. Our Way of Working
Remote-first, human-centred, and flexible.
We work across time zones and cultures, with a base in Switzerland and roots that reach Europe and Brazil. Collaboration happens online, but relationships are built through trust, empathy, and clarity.
Flexible schedules: You manage your time. What matters is meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Asynchronous collaboration: Not everyone will be online at the same time. We value clear written communication and respect others’ time zones.
Transparency: Whether it’s about progress, challenges, or feedback — we communicate openly and with respect.
Ownership: Everyone is accountable for their work and impact. If you see something that can be improved, speak up.

5. Collaboration & Freelance Work
We collaborate with freelancers for specialised tasks — from design systems to SEO copywriting.
Fair compensation: We discuss rates upfront and ensure clarity on deliverables and timelines.
Mutual respect: We value reliability, communication, and creative freedom within the project scope.
Shared credit: When projects go live, contributors are credited whenever possible.
Growth mindset: We encourage feedback and aim to build long-term relationships with freelancers who share our purpose.
6. Communication Tools
We use simple, reliable tools to stay connected:
Project Management: Notion, Jira, or Trello
Design Collaboration: Figma, Framer, Zeplin
Communication: Slack, Google Meet, or Loom
Documentation & Sharing: Google Drive or Notion
Keep communication friendly, professional, and focused. Clarity beats formality.
7. Wellbeing & Work–Life Balance
We believe creativity thrives when people do too.
At Sparquo, respect for personal time is part of our culture. We value balance, not burnout.
Keep communication intentional — avoid sending multiple messages or scattered emails when one clear update will do.
Don’t contact colleagues outside working hours or through private channels unless it’s truly urgent.
Social moments matter too — if you invite someone for a chat or a drink, keep it respectful and considerate of their boundaries.
Breaks are essential. Stepping away helps you recharge, reflect, and return sharper.
We admire dedication, but not performative overwork. Constant “hustle” is not a badge of honour; it often signals disconnection. Here, we value a healthy rhythm and a fulfilling life outside the screen.
And of course, we celebrate milestones — big or small. Every step forward counts, and we love to see our collaborators grow and win.
8. Data, Confidentiality & Portfolio Use
All client information, files, and materials handled through Sparquo are confidential and must be treated with care.
Depending on the project, freelancers and partners may be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect both the client’s and the studio’s intellectual property.
That said, we understand that creative professionals build their careers through portfolios and case studies.
When possible, Sparquo encourages transparent agreements with clients to allow sharing of project outcomes — especially when it helps demonstrate the impact of design and strategy work.
When restricted by NDA, we respect the client’s wishes and can agree on alternative formats, such as anonymised results, partial showcases, or permission after public release.
Our goal is to honour both: the client’s privacy and the professional growth of our collaborators.
9. Sustainability & Responsibility
We commit to designing responsibly — prioritising accessibility, ethical communication, and long-term value in everything we create.
As a 100% digital studio, Sparquo focuses on future-proof solutions: scalable, maintainable, and efficient by design. Our goal is to help clients build digital experiences that remain relevant, inclusive, and easy to evolve — reducing rework, waste of resources, and short-lived solutions.
